Questions, corrections and coverage ideas reach the editors directly. We are based in Helsinki and work to Finnish time.

Every message is read by a person, and replies during busy weeks can take a few working days.

What reaches the editors

If you have a question about a page, a correction, or an idea for coverage that fits our Finnish-focused beat, this is where to reach us. The editorial team handles questions, corrections and collaboration requests directly rather than routing them through a support queue.

  • Corrections first

Point us at the page and the sentence that is wrong.

  • Questions worth sharing

If the answer would help other readers, send it in.

  • Thin spots to fill

Topic suggestions where English coverage of Finnish habits is scarce.

Not the right channel for

Personal nutrition advice, medical results or replies about a current treatment. For anything personal and health-related, the right route is your own clinician or a Finnish health service.

How we work

How a note becomes a correction

Editorial review of submissions

If you send a correction or a factual note, we check it against Finnish national guidance, the relevant national health source, or another verifiable reference before changing a page. When a claim cannot be verified, we leave the page as it stands and explain why in our reply. It is slower than publishing instantly, and it is the standard we have set for the site.

Editorially reviewed, one note at a time.

The team works to Finnish time — messages that arrive overnight are usually read on the next working morning.

Where we are and when we read mail

The editorial team is based in Helsinki and works to Finnish time, which is UTC+2 in winter and UTC+3 in summer. Messages sent overnight are usually read on the next working morning. We do not run an urgent line, because nothing on this site is time-critical.

What to write to us about — and what stays with your clinician

The clearer the note, the faster the check. A short list, on the same blue plate, of what we can and cannot answer.

We can help with

  • A page that misstates a Finnish recommendation, or explains a term poorly.
  • Topic questions where the answer would genuinely help other readers.
  • Subject suggestions where English coverage of Finnish habits is thin.
  • Collaboration and republishing requests, considered one at a time.

Outside our scope

  • Personal nutrition advice or a review of an individual diet.
  • Interpretation of test results or clinical findings.
  • Assessment of a supplement plan or a specific symptom.
  • Comments on treatment. For anything personal, contact your clinician or a Finnish health service.

Collaboration and republishing

A close still life of blank index cards, a bowl of blueberries, water and a wool sleeve on a wooden table

We occasionally work with educators, translators and writers who know Finnish health topics well. If you want to contribute a page or help adapt a Finnish term for English readers, send a short outline of the topic and your background.

Republishing requests

Considered individually. We ask that the text is not altered in ways that change its meaning.

Adapting Finnish terms

Notes on how a Finnish term such as vireystila or ateriarytmi should read in English are welcome.

How to phrase your message

A useful message is short and specific. Readers often note that a Finnish term needs a clearer English explanation, and those notes help more than a general complaint. The more precise the note, the faster we can check it and reply.

  1. Where The page address, so we land on the right article.
  2. What The specific sentence or term you are asking about.
  3. Expected What you expected to find instead, if you have a comparison in mind.
  4. Source Any Finnish source or national guidance you are referring to. Optional, but it speeds up a check.

There is no required form or template — plain sentences work.

Send a question, correction or idea

Write to the editors

Use the form or, if you prefer, send an email to [email protected]. Most messages receive a reply within three to five working days, and corrections that need a source check can take a little longer. If you do not hear back within a week, send a brief follow-up. We do not send marketing follow-ups or add your address to any list.

The load of a useful reply is carried by the note itself — page, sentence, and what you expected.

Read the privacy policy.

Common questions before you write

Short answers to the questions readers ask first. If nothing here fits, the form above still works.

Can I send a personal nutrition question?

No. We do not assess diets, specific supplement plans or symptoms, and messages of that kind cannot be answered here. For anything personal and health-related, please contact your own clinician or a Finnish health service.

How quickly should I expect a reply?

Most messages get a reply within three to five working days. Corrections that need a source check can take longer, and we will tell you if the review is still open. If a week passes without an answer, a short follow-up is fine.

Will my email be added to a mailing list?

No. We do not send marketing follow-ups and we do not add your address to any list. Details of how we handle email are set out in our privacy policy.

Can I republish your articles?

Requests to republish are considered individually. Tell us where the text would appear, and how it would be presented. We ask that the text is not altered in ways that change its meaning.

One clear next step

If you are reading your way through the nutritionist advice, healthy lifestyle and fatigue prevention sections and something does not add up, tell us. Corrections, questions and topic suggestions all reach the same editors.
